What have I done??????

My OH and I booked to go to Meeru in April and were really looking forward to it although we were really worried as we had booked a standard room. When we recieved a letter from Thomson about the buildings works we went into town and they offered us a beach villa at Huduranfushi with a small refund which we accepted.

Ive stayed at one of the other islands in the chain (meedhaparu) so im aware of the interesting issues with the AI but would happily go back there.

Ive read some of the reviews and Im now really worried Ive done the wrong thing

Id love your views

What have I done??????

There have been 130 reviews. Just over 100 reviews gave it 4 or 5 stars! There%26#39;s no problem.

Look, you have been to the Maldives before so no what to expect! I believe there are only problems in paradise if you look for them.

Chill, enjoy and relax!!

What have I done??????

we stayed at hudhuranfushi sept last year, it%26#39;s a lovely island, staff are great rooms are nice and kept well clean. i too was worried that we had done the wrong thing after reading the reviews we never had any problems and had a great holiday, you will always get the moaners.

caz

My OH was so concerned that he cancelled our holiday that we had booked to Hudhuranfushi and and has now re-booked at Kuramathi.

We%26#39;re not fussy people but having worked hard to save up for our holiday, he didn%26#39;t want to risk it!

But like Rousey says, the majority of reviews are good or excellent. I guess it%26#39;s those that don%26#39;t research the resort at all that are the unhappy ones.

Hiya Starsky

Were off to Hudhuranfushi on 20 March we so cant wait.

Interesting thing i note is that most people would rather complain of a %26#39; problem %26#39; than thank someone for doing something good.

Like previous posts majority of the reviews are 4 or 5.

If you look at other islands review occasionally they get a bad or rogue review too.

I believe alot of it is down to expectation.

Were going for two weeks of sun and relaxation and doing nothing.

We not were not off to the most expensive place so we not what to rougly expect.

Check out the lat review all the good points point to it been a great place and alot of the negatives ones are the ones you should expect if you do a little research into the place before you go.

Will more than gladly answer any Q%26#39;s when i get back. ( infact a work colleague returns on Tuesday from his honeymoon so will grab info off him )

Stop worrying and get excited

Freddie

ps we got our tickets now too

Hi Starsky365

Please, please do not worry about this place, it is lovely. We went last year in June(beginning of rainy season)no problems with weather at all. Beach villas are basic but spacious. Food %26amp; service gr8. This is the only Maldivian island we have stayed at %26amp; in my opinion for AI it is gr8 value. Cocktails %26amp; some drinks are extra but we didn%26#39;t bother with those as what is on offer is perfectly adequate. We were allocated the main restaurant for meals which we used all the time but sunset restaurant I was told was pricey but excellent. Didn%26#39;t bother with trips, just chilled out. Only cash we spent was on tips which were well deserved.

By the way we%26#39;re going back this June- this should tell you something! We probably will try another island another year just for a change, not because we disliked this one. ENJOY!!!!

i too am worried, I%26#39;m not dead fussy, but i%26#39;m paying for hudhuranfushi this saturday (7th), but i%26#39;m worried about the mould walls and stained matresses, have been to the maldives 4 times b4, but this one is for our anniversary (may)
