Sun Island Water Bungalow

I was checking out the price to upgrade to water bungalow and First choice want 1700 pounds for the week for us 3. Seems a lot extra.

What do you think of the water Bungalows? We are in super delux at the mo and will most likely stay with that.

Just interested in your opinions on what they were like and if they are worth that extra cash?

Sun Island Water Bungalow

Hi Fudge

Some like some dont, Mrs R does so we do.

The bad ---

They distrupt the flow of water they sometimes have to destroy the coral to build them, they are isolating -- there is no beach--some say the water lapping the concrete poles keeps you awake not me--the cost.

The good,

They are luxury--most have there own dinning room--they are big and comfortable, direct access to the water--they have good sunsets and sunrises.

You must try or you will never know, stick with what you have and upgrade for the last 3-4 nights if they have availability.

main problem is that they are a fair walk from the bar and pool hahahah

good thing is seems like the island is all to yourself.we do the super deluxe every time cos we dont stay in our room much.

Hi Rumps hope you are well?

only cos i coldnt walk to the sea after chilling out hahahah

Hi Fudge,

Had Honeymoon at Sun Island, originally staying in a super deluxe, but only the first night. This is because when we got there they had a special offer on to upgrade - less than half the price of doing it at home through the tour operator. It was our honeymoon, so decided what the hell - let%26#39;s do it.

The WB rooms are more luxurious, and we thought it was worth the upgrade just to get tea %26amp; coffee making facilities!

However, overall, I agree with Rumps - save your money and if you fancy it when you get there try and do it in resort.

Hi Fudge

we stayed in a water bungalow when we went to sun island and thought it was excellent, however it was our very first island and since then we have stayed in beach bungalows because i now realize that i like to walk out of our room and feel the sand between my toes but i was glad that we have experienced a water bungalow

regards susie

Thanks all.

Will stick with super delux as will be nice walking out to the sand. May try and upgrade for perhaps our last 2 nights.
