Mirihi

Can anyone tell me the best water villas to stay in on Mirihi? Which is the sunset side of the island?

Mirihi

Rather than write it all out again here is a link to a post that has quite a bit of information about Mirihi including a long explanation on two different pages about water bungalow selection. I dont know if there is anything in that thread that is dated (has changed greatly) but certainly not the criteria for water bungalow selection.

As for your second question about what is the sunset side of the island ....well lets see I bet its the WEST side (smiles)

Sorry about that... go to this link

The first photo that you see is an picture of Mirihi from the air. The picture is basically taken from the ';west'; side of the island. In other words the straight line water bungalows on the left side of that photo have their decks facing sort of northeast. If you were on the deck you would be looking left to see the sunset. None of the water bungalows offer really good views of sunset. Best views are from the restaurant at the bottom of the island in that photo or the boat ramp on that same end or just the beach.

skibum is absolutely right .. best watervilla depends on your preferences . his description is spot on.

enjoy the sunset with a cocktail on the terrace of the muraka restaurant .. none of the watervillas give you a straight on view .
