Handufushi- Fihalhoi, Dilema

As some may know am due to go to Fiha in May.

Water Bungalow --FB X 2 weeks for a little over 3K.- working on current prices we will have to have a rough costing of about 1.5k for drinks , tips and a couple of extras, this is taking into account the addons for surcharges and service. We chose the island for the snorkeling and natural charm.

The dilema is for just 3k we can go to Handufushi -AI for the same 2 weeks on the same flight, jacuzie beach front villa.

A saving of aprox 1.7 k.

Fihalhohi Rumps...Handufushi has historically had issues from day one, and a name change will not change anything!!!

Also being a diver/snorkeller - Fiha has a better house reef (Handu - does not have a proper drop off) and access to some really good dive sites with Kandooma Thila %26amp; Cocoa Thila just 40mins on a boat.

Plus you know my feelings on AI anyway!! lol

Ask yourself why Handu is so cheap!!! being that Fiha is also a budget island.

ive just cancelled my holiday to handufushi i had a

letter from first choice saying it doesnt have a

sandy beach but a coral beach and some of the

facilities were not even open! I didnt wantto risk it as ive never been to the maldives so rebooked the holiday!

I think Emu has nailed it (although I would disagree with the AI comments but personal preference etc) and also what the 2nd reply has said.

So IMO go to Fiha you know you want to really :-)

All valid points, but take the AI out as it works for us, also the diving is not so important as i dont mind where i dive as long as i do / can, and taking into account current financial climbs 1.7k is alot to think about.Thanks for the views and will put them in the pot for later digestion.

hi dont go to handufushi we have just come back the holiday was a disaster we would not go back if it was free,we asked to be moved 2 nd day

rumpole, just take a look at some of the pics on the review page for handufushi. Coral littered beach, rubbish accumulating in the vegetation etc. I wouldn%26#39;t touch the place with a bargepole as there are much nicer places in the Maldives.

But its a little outdated, we have moved from Fiha and glad we have considering the outbreak--Are now going to Ellaidhoo.
