Hi,
Have read that some of the beach villas are detatched and some semi detatched.
Would prefer a detatched villa in a quiet location (i%26#39;ve read some can be noisy by the jetty??) what would anyone%26#39;s recommendations be on room numbers to request before I go?
Thanks in advance.
Rob
Best rooms numbers of beach villas on Reethi
Hi Rob,
Deluxe villas are all detatched (rooms 101-134) the lower numbers 101-110 have a nice view of scaffolding %26amp; sand bags to help stop beach erosion %26amp; 118-120 are right next to the beach bar.
Std rooms 135-160 are also detatched but 161 upwards are semi detatched and the higher the number the less beach there is.
The best location for standards IMO is 140-160.
Don%26#39;t get too hung up on the room requests, as you will then be dissapointed on arrival if you do not end up where you requested, all the rooms are in a quite location, the only one%26#39;s I did not like and asked to be moved from were the std rooms funished to deluxe standards on the east side of the island near the dive centre (rooms 185-194 I think??).
Regards
Emu
Best rooms numbers of beach villas on Reethi
I believe that just one or two of the low numbered DeLuxe Villas are semi-detached but everything else is detached. I agree about not requesting specific rooms actually. They really struggle to provide a given Villa and you%26#39;re asking for disappointment if you don%26#39;t get what you asked for. Far better to get there and see what you are allocated. I know that a number of people have asked to be moved to a more preferable room and I%26#39;ve never yet heard of anyone being refused, so that%26#39;s your best bet, in my opinion. Moving is no great hassle - as soon as you get there you%26#39;ll feel relaxed and there%26#39;s nothing gonna bother you, believe me! Enjoy.
Thanks all for the info. Very much appreciated
Hi there, we came back last month and like you worried in advance about a good room but decided to take pot luck. We ended up in a detached Deluxe beach villa number 122 which we found ideal as it was far enough away from any noise and had great view and lots of beach in front, so IMO i would say if you are talking about deluxe villas any between 121 and 130 would be perfect. Have a lovely time
agree with all of above on our first visit in Oct 2007 we asked for a detached delux bungalow on arrival we were allocated 104 a semidetached bungalow we did get upset on hearing this and immediately asked for move which they said would be no problem in a couple of days, however we settled in and we decided to stay where we were. I would say though that at that time it was one of the best locations on the island superb stretch of beach great views and near (but not to near) beach bar, restaurant and main bar and absolutely no sandbags. If you do want to request a detached bungalow ask for a single unit (semis are double units).
Stayed in a semi detached on Reethi Beach and even with next door neighbours the whole time I was there I didn%26#39;t hear anything, not even from the adjoining open bathroom(!!!) - so don%26#39;t worry - its all really quiet. The noisiest thing is nature itself, the waves crashing/lapping on the shore(depending on season)In fact, when I was there and the island was full, I had photo after photo with no-one in it at all - amazing!
As has already been said - do not set your heart on a particular location, because if you don%26#39;t get it you will immediately be disappointed even before you see where it is...back me up on this Lonny!!The whole island is beautiful, and if you really hate where you are(and I doubt that will be the case) ask to be moved before you unpack all your stuff and they will so their best.
You are SO lucky - have a wonderful holiday. Wish I was there? - you bet!

That should say - they will DO their best - too much vino!

Thanks all for the info. Very helpful and much appreciated.
Hi
Definately agree with all Woody said. We were in 170 (semi detatched) and never heard our neighbours either. Its very quiet and peaceful wherever you are. Woody was only a few rooms down from us - unfortunately we werent there at the same time!! Whichever room you are given, I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll love it.
Have a great time
Lonny
