Cinnamon Island

Hi

Has anyone been to Cinnamon Island - Think its quite a new resort - Can anyone tell me more about it

Thanks

Cinnamon Island

reviews tend to like the island/food/spa /pool but criticize the beach. the island (alidhoo) is not protected by a lagoon and the sand is described as very mixed with lots of broken coral and apparently , swimming is impossible and not even the watervillas have water access.

the (german)divecenter is reported as good but the divespots as unexciting

you%26#39;ll find some frank photos here: malediven.net/Bilder/鈥ndex.htm

Thanks for that - I hadn%26#39;t realised it was called Allidhoo. The accomodation looks really nice, and I%26#39;m not too worried about the lagoon as I don%26#39;t go in the water that much. Has anyone stayed there recently and do you know which tour operators go there.

Cheers

Hi Julie

It%26#39;s right in the north of the Maldives an internal flight (not a sea plane)from Male to Himandoo and then 30 minutes speed boat from there. I%26#39;m surprised you%26#39;re going to the Maldives (and Sharma I see) if you don%26#39;t go in the water

Regards

Doug

Kuoni did offer this island but not sure if they still do ....

I love to look at the ocean and lie in the sun. I am not a very good swimmer and only snorkelled for the first time in Ellaidhoo two years ago, and then again last year. I loved it but didn%26#39;t go out of my depth and the sea had to be really calm. I am addicted to the Maldives islands, the people and everything else about it as everyone else is on this forum. I am going to Egypt this year in June, mainly for the weather as it can be changeable in the Maldives at this time. Not sure if I will snorkel as I believe its deep water so I maybe out of my comfort zone - Its also one of those places that I%26#39;ve always wanted to visit. We will be going back to the Maldives (hopefully around Christmas time again) and fancied doing a two centre (Ellaidhoo %26amp; Alidhoo) if it was possible so would welcome any info on Cinnamon / Alidhoo if anyone has any.

Thanks
