Hi all. I am going to club faru on 15th May and cant wait. All the reviews look really good. Couple of questions. Having read the reviews i think i would like an upstairs room on the East side of the island. Do you think if i email the island nearer the time that they will organise this for us? Also, is there a facebook page for Club Faru? Thanks

I am sure if you E Mail Faru within a week or so of going they will bear this in mind. Not sure about the facebook. Upstairs East IMO is def the best. Nice to hear from a fellow fifer. Going back in June cant wait.

From Fife too, wow. I am from Dunfermline. It must be good if you are going back, cant wait. I saw the post on debit cards but still could not be sure after reading it all! I have a Visa debit card, do you know if they take debit card?

No I%26#39;m not too sure on the debit card either, you could always ask them in your E mail. We just took travellers cheques which to be honest we didnt use a lot of and got hit on charges when we exchanged them back.

We live in Kirkcaldy - definutely looking forward to going back - pure bliss.

Can you tell me if they have a house reef for diving or do you have to go on a boat all the time.

no house reef although there is snorkling available around the island, hubby goes out for ages, there are also boats twice a day - journey about 20 mins to good sites.

They will accept any visa card, just tell your bank that you will be using it out of the country, Re booking a room, no point in contacting now as they only have numbers of people arriving , they dont get peoples names untill 2 weeks before arival, and it is only a request but they will if they can. Also best to ask for a room in a block not an individual room number, as this will give more scope / choice to allocate.
