stray dogs

what a bizarre question...

Answer is no anyway.

No..................Jordan went there once but as far as I know she stayed in her villa so you couldn%26#39;t really call her stray...........................

:)) I see. thanks for your replies. I know it may seem a bizarre question, but my holiday to cuba was ruined because of all the stray dogs (actually, lot%26#39;s of other things too... but mainly the dogs.) I have been looking to book Grenada, but then found (courtesy of this site), there is a stray problem there.

Perhaps therapy/counselling for me would be easier??

Many thanks!

LOL at the replies.

Seriously - I have never seen a dog in the Maldives, let alone a stray.

Dogs are considered unclean by muslims - that%26#39;s why you never see them - there aren%26#39;t any.

If you read a guide book you will see the items not allowed to be brought into the country are:

Alcohol, pornography, pork, narcotics, dogs, firearms, spear guns or idols of worship.

like nakatcha says .. dogs are not allowed in the country .

a couple of islands have a resident cat or two .

and yes... very bizarre .. how does anyone get their vacation ruined by pooches ? .. curious ..

It can be very upsetting to see the state of these poor creatures though, I remember being very distressed at the state of the cats in Greece, and I am not really a cat lover. I also was upset to see a large and beautiful lizard chased and clubbed to death in Tobago, although I understand that it was to be eaten:-(

Many thanks to everyone who took the time to reply! Now booked for Barbados. Cheers :)

With my experience of Barbados..... I found loads of stay dogs. If they weren%26#39;t stray%26#39;s there owners must of been very relaxed about letting them out.....
