Hi 1664,
Have a look at this site, posted yesterday, it seems to be the cheapest place at the moment for deals to the Maldives:-
http://uk.travelzoo.com/search/?q=maldives
Sadly, these islands are very expensive nowadays and your budget pre booking in advance (not late deals) may get you FB or AI at Biyadhoo, or Fihalohi islands there are others that may be a possibility??
Weather, this is a different story and in September can be a bit of a gamble!!
Have a read of my inside page on weather:-
tripadvisor.com/Travel-g293953-s208/Maldives…
Whilst it paints a good picture of the weather in the Maldives, there is that small chance of getting totally washed out for 3+ days.
Hope this helps.
Regards
Emu
You might just squeene in 2 weeks at Reethi Beach if it is at the beginning of September, although it would be in a standard villa and not a watervilla.
Direct flights are often with charter and sometimes are more expensive. The stop off in Dubai is only a couple of hours and then you could have 10-12 nights and that would bring the cost down abit. Would recommend that you go AI so no nasty surprises at the end of the holiday.
Softail
sorry can i up the budget to whatever you think we will need to pay !!
