alcohol allowance dubai-male?

Hi everyone,

We are going to the kuredu at the end of april,we are flying with emirates via dubai then on to male.

Does anyone know if you are allowed to purchase any alcohol from dubai duty free and take with us to male without it getting confiscated?? Is there any restrictions at male airport with people trying to bring alcohol into the country?

Importation of alcohol into the Maldives is illegal. All your luggage, including hand luggage, will be x-rayed before you are allowed to clear the airport. Any alcohol discovered will be confiscated. I believe you get it back when you leave the country.

Im glad i checked now,cos i was gonna buy a couple of bottles of laurent perrier rose champagne,but i think i%26#39;ll save my money now!!
