Eriyadu, Eliadhoo

Hi,

I am tring to decide which one of these two island is better. I prefer the look of Eliadhoo, however it does have a horrible sea wall going around the whole island:((( I think it ruin the look if the typical Malidves island.....

Eriyadu looks really good but I can%26#39;t find out if it does all inclusive. I would not like to go full board as I would worrie that we overspend so prefer all inclusive.

I also know that Helenheli (?) has got very good reef but I strugle to find any UK tour operators that have this island and do not know price or the type of board that is available.....

Perhaps you could advise on what to do and where to book? ( as always)

Kuoni do Eriyadu. They make no mention of AI, only Full Board.

Snorkelling on the reef at Eriyadu is supposed to be brilliant.

Helengeli is Meerus sister island may be worth contacting them, but H is not as good as promoted , have been there rooms are re furbed but are still old, is a divers island with a fantastic reef i say again fantastic reef--but the beaches are poor all but the spit head, with the island so small and so few visitors the staff are complasant and the service was / is poor.

I think I am back to sq 1....We have been to Maldives in Sep ( Reethi) and lovedit BUT the prices are now so high that it is hard to find an island that does have good snorkeling/diving and is within budget!! I even looked at going to different country all together, however nothing compares to that lovely Maldives!! Looked at Angaga but it is booked for Nov with Thomson and the rest are way more expensive. Eriyadu - reviews are not that great plus they do not do all inclusive.Elliadhoo - ticks all the boxes but has the ugly sea wall all around it.

I think I may just leave it till later on in the year and hope that the will be some deal thanks to credit crunch!!!

By the way, I think the Maldives forum is the friendliest one on the whole TA!!!!!!

BT8 - I am having exactly the same problem as you. Trying to find somewhere as good as Reethi. I am considering Ellaidhoo but like you put off by the sea wall but it does get good reviews. Also looking at Vilamndhoo, angaga, thulagiri and biyadhoo but wonderif the last is just a bit too basic - want god snorkelling, good food, laid back atmosphrere and peace! Considered Eriyadu but recent reviews are not good and it is not that much cheaper

Yep, I looked at exactly the same islands as you. Angaga is now aroung 拢5k all inclusive, Thulgagiri(?) - I heard there is some building work, Baydhoo - perfact but I am worried that there is a report after report about bad smell around the only bar on the island:((...

Thats my concern with Biyadhoo-nothing worse than a permanent pong!Also wondering do I go when its a bit cheaper but risk wetter weather or wait till Jan but much more expensive Makundu is another I am looking at- decisions decisions.Will be interested to hear where you end up Bentnash
