HELP......Kuredu Island OR Meeru Island Resort???

Hi,

My husband and I (aged 36 %26amp; 41) are looking at a trip to The Maldives in March but are totally baffled as to which Island to stay at.

We%26#39;ve been given a list of possibles from our travel agent here in India (we are currently living in Goa) and are keen to know if anyone on the the forum has stayed at either or both of these and if so which do you prefer and why?

The islands in question are Kuredu and Meeru.

We both love snorkelling so a good house reef with easy access is very important. We both have our PADI open water certs so will be wanting to do a couple of dives.....which island is best?

Also could you give info regarding the accomodation, we have been offered a Land Villa on Meeru or a Beach Bungalow on Kuredu......are there any problems with either of these accoms, i.e. restricted views of beach etc. We don%26#39;t particularly want 5 star luxury just looking for somewhere clean and comfy to rest our heads after a long day of sunbathing and swimming.

Hi, I had exactly the same choices as you meeru or kuredu, but after having spent a long time looking at this and other sites discovered that the snorkelling at meeru wasn%26#39;t that good from the beach, and kuredu is more family and children orientated, so I began my search again, we have now decided to go for Veligandu its a gorgeous small island which ticks all the boxs, we are a couple in our mid forties. After doing more research we have crossed Meeru off the list and for the reasons that you state about Kuredu we too are a bit unsure as to whether this is suitable for us??

We are now considering booking directly rather than using an agent here, that way we get more choice of resorts. We still have quite a long list of possibles ....Bolifushi and Lily Beach both look promising, I will also check out the website that you mentioned.....thanks for that.
