Hi,going to Vilamendhoo at the end of March and just gathering a few things we are going to need.Is shower gel and shampoo provided or shall we add this to the list?Trying to reduce the weight. My wife tells me we have heavy cases(not the contents)just the cases!!so every little helps, especially in her case!
Vilamendhoo quick question!
I%26#39;ve just read my own post. Not suggesting my wife needs to reduce her weight, just her luggage.She%26#39;ll kill me!
Vilamendhoo quick question!
Hi Sandseeker
We are going to Vilamendhoo on 20th March for 2 weeks. I believe there is no toiletries provided so you have to take your own. I am going to put what I need into small bottles or buy the travel size ones.
I think we will end up overweight for the seaplane. We have 30kg for the main flight and will probably use that with snorkeling gear for me and diving gear for Francis. I believe the seaplane charges $2 per kilo over 25kg so not too bad.
Hopefully see you there x
Hi, yes you do need toiletries they only supply small bars of soap.our wife will also want to take a hairdryer if she uses one. Know what you mean about heavy cases, we had to go and buy lighter ones.
We went last year and enjoyed it so much we are going back in May. I hope you enjoy it as much as us.
Hi Shona-n-Francis/holidaygirl62,thanks for the info. Will add shampoo and gel (small sizes) to the ever growing list.Good to hear from a lot of the posts that this island gets a lot of repeaters. This will be our fourth island and hopefully the one that will enable us to revisit in the future.
The previous three islands have all undergone massive refurbishment or price hikes or both so hopefully the wrecking crew will not follow us to Vila.
No toiletries provided, except soap. The shop sells a couple of basics, but really only suitable for ';forgotton'; items, take what you need.and enjoy!
