2 Q's - Occupancy rate & Adult Pool

We have done four trips to the Maldives - two of which have included the then Hilton and last year the now Conrad. Am pondering a return this summer.

Can anyone comment on whether they believe the resort is as busy as ever or whether, given the economy, things are a bit slower??

Also, can anyone comment on whether Conrad has/will be constructing that adults only pool on the over water side - more curious than anything else.

My wife and I were there in mid-December 2008. It was running at about 65% occupancy according to our island host. So yes, I think the downturn has had an effect. We stayed in a DWV and the one next to us was vacant for most of our stay.

The adult pool (on Rangali) is apparently still on track for this year (I can%26#39;t remember the month unfortunately), although they%26#39;ve given up on the pool level rising and lowering with the tide. The section that sticks out into the lagoon water is still meant to be made from glass though.
