WOW ! Faru No 5 in Maldives top 10

Acording to the Maldives Overview, Faru comes in as No 5 in the top 10.

This is based on reviews posted by those who visit the Maldives, i dare say it gets this position due to through flow and cost, but what a surprise.Any comments

i would take that listing for what its worth .. Faru is cheap and it gets a lot of blissful reviews from first time visitors . oh, to be a first timer again! :)

if simple math says that one of 100 visitors will write a review , then imagine how long it would take a soneva gili or dhoni migili to get those numbers .

can we honestly say that faru is a ';better'; resort than those two? (obviously, i think not)

large resorts have huge numbers of guests and so they pump out the reviews. i am happy for each and every person who spent an enjoyable vacation anywhere but i think those numbers are misleading, being that they are out of context.

seems to me the rating should be based on a different math.. like ratio of good versus bad reviews , etc.

I see the Maldives simply.

1.Sand

2.Sea

3.Palm trees

4.Blue Skys

5.A cold beer

6.Underwater life

ALL the Islands have the above no matter how big or small, 1* or 5*, whats left is not important to me.

Yes, if I had millions of course a nice bed helps, but you only sleep there, well most of the time!!

People come for the beauty!! All the Islands are beautiful!

I would agree with you to some extent Rousey and I would be lying if I told you that if someone offered me a free trip to Faru I would turn them down.... but all things being equal I would prefer my Maldives Island to not be 1.6 miles from the end of a runway at an international airport. (smiles)
