Chaaya Dhonveli - Footie coverage!

Hi,

We are off to the island in 3 weeks and my husband was asking about whether they show the football on TV. I am HOPING that this will be the last thing he thinks about when we get there!

But to pacify him wondered if anyone knows if they have sky sports on the TV%26#39;s in the rooms or maybe if they show alot of sport in the bar at Pasta Point?

Haven%26#39;t been to Dhonveli yet but going in 2 days time so will be able to answer better on return. In the past when we have been to other Islands they have a lot of Indian TV sports channels which show more games that sky sports! Definately won%26#39;t have sky there but should get lots of footie.

We were there in January and yes you do get football, quite a lot actually!!!! on the tv in the bungalows, not sure if its sky, some live some shown later.

Yes they show all the premier League games some live in the early hours and early evening on Sat and sundays, also plenty of re-runs of full matches. Basically if you don%26#39;t have Sky at home its footie heaven.

Sorry but I think NOT having Sky at home is heaven actually! And there is no way I%26#39;d waste a minute in the Maldives watching telly, especially footie. Now do I hear a hornet stirring?

How very sad to go all that way to Paradise and watch flipin Football, or TV come to that.

I couldn%26#39;t agree more! I am sure he will forget all about it when he gets there but at least if he thinks he has the option of watching it our sky+ box won%26#39;t be overloaded with football when we get back...!

I suppose I am just doing what us girls do and finding a solution before the problem arises!
