I am looking at Kuredu for my honeymoon In August.
Am looking to book the Jaccuzzi beach Villa and have been given a good quote by Hayes and Jarvis.
Few questions
1) Is it a fantastic honeymoon Location?
2) Has it got that privacy feel, or is it or is it overcrowded?
3) I was looking at reviews and people advise to book the %26#39;o%26#39; side of the Island. Do I do this when I book with H %26amp; J or email the resort once its been booked?
4) Is it worth going!?
Thanks

4) is easily answered - YES
as far as the rest.. it depends what you want from a honeymoon. i like kuredu best of the big , busy islands . but having said that ... a big , bustling place with lots of families , roads , vehicles , etc is not my idea of a maldivian vacation , much less a romantic homeymoon ... but thats just my personal preference .
kuredu jaccuzi beach villa is a great choice if you have made the decision between a small or a large island and you opted for large and busy .
my idea of a fantastic honeymoon location is more along the lines of mirihi or komandoo but others might be bored to tears there. .. so maybe tell us what you are looking for?

I am looking for a chilled out honeymoon. I dont want it to be busy, I dont want there to be kids around. just want to relax and enjoy our honeymoon.
The reason Kuredu came up, it was a good deal.
Hi Jack, I know the feeling, when searching for honeymoon islands I ruled out anywhere with a kids club!
Jack.. if thats what you want , i would suggest you consider the small islands . a pool is a kiddie attractant also .
kuredu might be ';a good deal'; but if it makes your honeymoon less than memorable, maybe thats a bigger ';expense'; in the long run .
i suggest you look at mirihi , ihuru , angaga , komandoo , thudufushi and nika . those would be my suggestions for a relaxed , quiet and romantic honeymoon .
Hi Jack,
I’ll throw my opinion in. We’re off to Kuredu next Month so can’t comment on it specifically. However two good friends of mine spent their honeymoon there last year and Komandoo (the sister island of Kuredu). They made the mistake of visiting Komandoo for the first week then Kuredu in the second. The general consensus is that Komandoo is ‘another level’ above Kuredu and is very small compared to Kuredu and has better snorkelling, However they’ve hiked their rates a ridiculous amount for this year so I don’t think it’s a fair comparison. On arriving to Kuredu My friends really liked it but my friends wife kept comparing it to Komandoo and they went back after three days when the opportunity presented itself. They assured me that there was nothing wrong with Kuredu it was just that Komandoo was more what they wanted from their honeymoon.
Like you Kuredu came onto our radar because of the price, in my opinion it appears to offer the best value vs price that I could find. We’re not going on a honeymoon and are used to more active holidays so we wanted a larger island with a variety of places to eat and drink. Have you had a look on the Kuredu website forum? I found it to be very informative and it seems like you can spend all day on the beach and only see a handful of people so while it’s a bigger island in comparison to others it’s still small. They offer a good selection of rooms to suit budgets and the ‘O’ resort does not admit under 12’s. We’re staying in the O resort but as yet the only offer villas and Jacuzzi villas, they have the Koamas villas but they tend to put the families in those. I hope we’ll have the best of both worlds at Kuredu as it seems like it will be quiet in the O resort and if we fancy it we can head to the main bar which is meant to be more lively with entertainment.
Check out Dream Maldives they beat H%26amp;J on price by quite a bit but their web prices don’t include the sea plane return transfer which will set you back £140pp.
Hope this helps, I’ve heard that Kuredu have offered free upgrades to guests to stay at Komandoo for all or parts of their stay but for us the price of Komandoo was twice what Kuredu was!
