Lily Beach Update

This is just a quick copy and paste job from the Lily Beach website and was posted 2 days ago.

Status of Lily Beach Resort %26amp; Spa: 24th February 2009

Dear Customer

The ongoing project work at the all-new Lily Beach Resort %26amp; Spa at Huvahendhoo, continues as per schedule. The resort would be fully operational on 01st April 2009.

As we speak, the final phase of the project work has already started. By 15th March, the project team is expected to hand over the entire resort to the Operations team.

Final snagging, testing of all villas from an electric/hygiene/services perspective, Landscaping, Island Beautifying, Beach cleaning, Reef cleaning will be underway from 01st March 09. There would be 14 days of final snagging, testing of all villas from 10th March 09. Food / Wine tasting, planning would be ongoing from 01st March 09.

The key operations team is already in-house, under the able leadership of Mr. Adrian Iftene 鈥?General Manager. Adrian comes with a wealth of international luxury resort/cruise liner experience and has already recruited a team of hotel professionals around him, to take care of all aspects of the new Lily Beach Resort %26amp; Spa. Training sessions are undergoing currently for all front line personnel at the resort. Many of the front line personnel have stayed back during the Project period and are keen to showcase the new resort to the number of repeat clientele who have re-booked the resort, after the full renovation.

when waiting for a new/remodelled resort to open , no phrase scares me as much as the assurance ';continues as per schedule'; .. LMAO

just kidding .. after all , we still haven%26#39;t found the elusive maldivian creature of fables that is a resort that actually opened within a few weeks of its target date .. so throw lily beach in the running, along with velassaru .. maybe one of these two is ';THE ONE'; ?
