Maldives....without sea transfers

Hi,

Can anyone suggest any good 4/5* resort for a family with kids(4%26amp;9ys) in maldives inland not a island resort which is costing too much as it includes SEA TRANSFERS or YACHT TRASFERS.

These tranfers are bumping up the overall price of the holidays, so would have rather inland near the sea/ocean. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Not sure what it is you%26#39;re after, as all of the Maldives resorts are individual islands and therefore require a transfer either by boat or seaplane from the airport island. There is no ';mainland'; as such.

The capital, Male isn%26#39;t really suitable for a holiday stay (other than a day trip/overnight stay if awaiting a flight or transfer due to late arrival/departure).

Obviously the closer to Male you are, the less your transfer will cost as it will be easily accessible by boat.

I gather you are booking direct as to a charter / package hol, Look at First Choice or the likes (direct flights) and everything counted for in the package / cost, this may save money and sort the problem out.

There are only 2 ways to get from the airport to your resort island: boat or seaplane. If you are close enough for a boat transfer, the island will have its own boats. If you need a seaplane transfer, your island will generally make the arrangements direct with the appropriate seaplane company.

If you book direct with a UK tour operator, the cost of transfers will be included in the price of your holiday.

DB the maldives is made up of 1000 ish v small islands (largest abou 1 mile long)there is no %26#39;inland%26#39;, are you sure thats where you want to take your kids, i think they tend to get quite bored as there is nothing to do except eat, sleep and snorkel, best research a bit more before you choose.

errr.. well.. the ';maldivain inland'; is generally called Sri Lanka'; :)

maybe you want to look for beach resorts there . you have the same weather .. same ocean ..

Bandos is great for families, only about 15 minutes by speedboat from the airport. Has a low key kids club, pool, kids menu etc, all the thinks that make familiy holidays easier.
