male stopover before reethi

We will be going for our honeymoon at Reethi from 28th July and are absolutely more excited about it than anything! We will be coming from Tokyo via Singapore and will arrive in Male at 10pm. Can anyone reccommend anywhere to stay for the night near the port - don`t really fancy paying the airport hotel prices before we get the sea plane in the morning.

Can%26#39;t make any personal recommendations as I have never had to use them.

There are frequent water taxis from the airport across to Male. Cost is about 1$.

There is also the Fuana Inn on a new development called Hulhumale Island. This is an artificial island built on reclaimed land just north of the airport island.

It is only a few minutes from the airport
