Hi
I am planning a week trip to Maldives in June, and am now shopping for resorts.
I hope to stay in a resort which meet the following criteria :-
1) rustic
2) beautiful beach (for swimming and snorkelling)
3) decent food (drinks not impt as I don%26#39;t drink)
4) reasonable price
Please advise...
Oh btw, I am also wondering if it is worth paying extra for resorts which require seaplane transfers.
Thanks!
Need help - choosing resortsHi Fern,
And welcome to the forum,
take a look at Fihalhohi, it could be what you are looking for, as for the seaplane its all about location, if its far away they tend to use seaplanes, although some of the resorts do have 2 hr boat transfers.

Would 2nd Fiha or try biyadhoo that is very rustic, simple , clean and reasonable. Has a good house reef and this is the last year in its original form before the dreaded developers get hold of it.
Sea planes are a fantastic trip and if an island was more than an hour and half by boat would say yes its worth it.
In the it will depend on your budget which you haven%26#39;t given.

Hi Rumps and Sg
Thank you for your advice. I have considered the Fihalhohi, and do agree that it seems to meet my criteria.
However, we have just booked a package with Club Med Kani (which clearly is not rustic), but the recent offer they had was just too good to miss.
We booked an all inclusive package for 2 adults for 5 days 4 nights (including speedboat transfer) for about USD 1200.
So once again, I really appreciate all your advice.
Cheers!
Fern
