What time of year for the best weather ???

Hi SAFCMARK,

Not commenting on the weather, type in the green / gray box top left and see what comes up or ask Emu72.

As for Meeru, snorkeling not so good / poor--Food fantastic--large island that often overbooks and has to shuffle people around, often not getting the room you booked for a couple of days on arrival, main bar, to small for the evenings, but nice decks outside.2 main restaurants top end one No kids but you only get that depending what room / type you are in.Asian Wok restaurant Fantastic but have to pay.above low to Mid range island price wise that does AI.

Hope this helps.

What time of year for the best weather ???

i would say jan through early april is your best chance for driest months

Hi

Weather is one of the imponderables! February and March are statistically the 2 months with least rain.

Rumpole%26#39;s comments on Meeru say it all. I have been once - not by choice - and wouldn%26#39;t go again. However, lots of people go time and time again and think it is paradise on earth.

There is a good UK website, dedicated just to Meeru and run by enthusiasts:

OD

Maldives has constant heat ALL year round, with 2 monsoons, the dry and wet.

Dry will be between Nov - April

Wet will be betwwen May - October

Even during the wet season you will experince dry periods and during the dry season you will get showers, as it is in the tropics. The islands are spread over a very large area, so one island may be dry and the other wet!!

Statistically speaking Feb is the best month of the year to travel, and it has never let me down with weather!! the opposite can be said for June,Sept,Oct %26amp; Nov - I have always received far too much rain when travelled in these months.

Regards

Emu
