Hi,
We are planning to spend 7 to 10 days in Filitheyo in February 2010, I guess it is too early to email the hotel for booking. However I would be extremely grateful if someone could help me get the understanding of the rates policy they have. I know that it depends on the season and changes, but I need just a general idea what expenses we should be up to.
Also I didn鈥檛 get the clear idea what you鈥檙e getting with AI offer 鈥?is it just wine at the dinner if cocktails are not included?
What鈥檚 the weather like in February in Maldives?
Do you need to book the air taxi in advance for the transfer to the island or is it like a shuttle?
Thanks a lot in advance for your advice!
rates policy and wether in FebruaryGo to this website:
www.mal-dives.com
click on the link that says ';resorts list / a-z';
find your resort and click on it and read the information. Not sure if its all current but it will give you some overall info about the place. You can also click on links that provide a rate quote. This sites quotes are in my opinion rather low but it would give you a ballpark idea. Not going to be totally accurate as you are going to be dealing with the annual rate increase by Feb 2010. Obviously the rate will vary depending on what kind of room you get. Feb is in the middle of the high season so whatever the rates are they will be the most expensive time to go there (other than christmas). The positive side of that is that Feb offers some of the best weather for your holiday (that doesnt mean it doesnt ever rain in Feb it just means it rains much less often).
When you get to the resort link check out the downloads pulldown. It lists the AI particulars although I%26#39;m not sure its current.
rates policy and wether in FebruaryFor what its worth the rate quote on Mal-dives.com for Feb 2009 is $5745 for the cheapest room and $8439 for a water villa. Thats the AI rate with a sea plane transfer for 10 days. (your mileage may vary smiles)
its time to book for feb 2010 .. the high season tends to get booked quickly . we have our booking for april 10 in (mirihi) .
skibum is right ... feb is the high season .. weather should be fabulous , maybe a few little showers .
your island books the airtaxi and you pay it as part of your final bill .
Thank A LOT for your help! I%26#39;ll certainly email the hotel then!
