Seaplane transfers from Reethi

Hi,

Just had my confirmation through for Reethi. It mentions on there that sea planes only operate in the hours of daylight and if our flight is before 9am from Male we should make provision for an overnight stay there. Our flight is just after 9am so I am hoping this does not affect us and we get our 14th night in Reethi. Anyone else had any experience of this?

Hi Rob -

the resort takes care of your transfers, and co-ordinates your timetables. Reethi is one hr ahead of Male, so your sea- plane probably leaves Reethi around 7 am ( 6 am Male time). Which will have you in Male around 6.30.

You should not have a problem, but be sure you ask them when you get there.

Just to confirm, in October we had a flight at 9.00am from Male. With the time difference we had no problems, seaplane was about 30 mins to Male.

Irrespective of what time of day your return sea plane flight is, it will be the most somber and despairing journey you will make for a long time :-(

Reethi is +1hr Male time

No problems with seaplanes leaving for Male, breakfast is buffet style in the Moodhu bar on the day of departure at around 6am, the seaplane leaves around 7.15am but usually collects guests from Royal Island / Four Seasons first.

You will get to Male at around 7am so plenty of time for the connecting flight, just not masses of time for duty free.
